MATCH-UP HISTORY

Binghamton swept the two game series down in Virginia two weeks ago and have split the season series tied up at three games a piece with two remaining on home ice including tonight’s affair.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Stefan Noesen, NOR – The Senators highly touted ex-prospect has 5 goals, 6 assists in 19 games since returning from some long-term injuries. From the previous two games played at Norfolk, he was a factor on the ice and was also involved in a fight with Brad Mills late in the second game.

Zack Smith, BNG – Smith returns to Binghamton on a conditioning stint that has limited his action this season to just 27 games for Ottawa since suffering a wrist injury in mid Dec as not sure on the length if it will be the full two weeks allowed or just for this weekend. Last time Zack saw action around here was against the Houston Aeros in the Calder Cup finals in helping Binghamton to their first ever hockey championship back in 2011.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. B-Sens Benefit From Zack – After having his season cut short, Smith will be fun to watch tonight in his first game back in a Binghamton uniform, just not sure where he’ll end up in the line-up, but leaning towards the second unit while Carter Camper, Shane Prince and Cole Schneider having chemistry up top and producing on the first.

2. Take Advantage of the Slumping Admirals Senators need to ride the season out on a positive note and build on last Sunday’s wild overtime win despite giving up three goal leads twice in the third period. Hopefully, that won’t happen again but one never knows with this team.

3. Crowds Still Engaged – This has been a disappointing season at best for those that root on the club, but the fan base remains strong despite the team not being able to defend their division title this season, as a result of last weekend’s capacity crowd on Saturday vs. Hartford.
