The Binghamton Senators look to regroup and lick their wounds after Friday night’s tough 2-1 loss as they face the Hartford Wolf Pack. In what may be a preview of things to come next season as a direct result with the new re-alignment in the AHL about to take place, these two teams might be seeing one another more often which would be refreshing.

MATCH-UP HISTORY

In only the second game between the two teams this season, Hartford was on the winning side of a 4-2 game up in Connecticut back in early Dec.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Chris Bourque, HFD – The AHL All-Star has been around the league now for the last ten years as this is his first season in Hartford. The long time member of the Hershey Bears is way out in front leading the Wolf Pack with 50 points in 59 games scoring 22 goals and having 28 assists.

Brad Mills, BNG – The 31-year-old veteran has been playing well as of late as his leadership both on and off the ice helps the younger players out as he skates like someone in his mid 20’s with age having no bearing.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Senators Needs Some Offense – After being stymied by a tough defensive outing by Hershey on Friday, they need to be ready from the start and get some production from the primary scoring units, with secondary players chipping in as well. Can’t win games if you don’t score goals.

2. Unfamiliar Territory Senators don’t have a history with the Wolf Pack as the two clubs barely battle one another for some odd reason. We all like rivalries, as this could become something in the near future with the new Pacific Division developing on the West Coast.

3. Peter Mannino Starts Again? – I would. Despite letting in two goals on the first five shots he faced last night, Mannino buckled down and was excellent the rest of the way. Let him carry that momentum into tonight’s tilt with Hartford and let’s hope he gets more support from the offense.
