Ottawa Senators Twitter Roundup – Retro Sens, Lehner Rage

So, we’re trying something new here at Senshot… and that’s a weekly recap of our favourite moments on Twitter from the week.

Here’s the Ottawa Senators weekly story, in the form of our favourite Tweets.

Jeremy Milks from Black Aces recounts the Ottawa Senators past. Here we see the Sens website from 1996, and it does bare resemblance to the website I programmed in HTML basics 101, nonetheless it’s pretty rad and showcases everything great about early internet browsing.

With Craig Anderson dealing with an injury to the blocker hand, Robin Lehner has been leaned on for the past 4 games. In Ottawa’s loss to Washington, Lehner wasn’t too happy. Capital Gains publishes this for the world to see.

Robin Lehner felt some heat from the media after this one. I’d suggest watching his Sens TV interview as well as taking a look at Peter Raaymakers’ tweet, featuring the Swedish Monster’s beard.

SensChirp tweets what we’re all dreaming. That’s Connor McDavid. The young superstar is slotted to go number 1 in the draft this off-season, and Ottawa may just be a few points out from drafting McDavid.

Ottawa sits at around a 6% chance at McDavid, and despite Edmonton and Buffalo being historically bad.. a fan can still dream.

Erik Karlsson’s buddy, Patric Persson doesn’t keep any feelings away from a fan wearing a Crosby jersey; even if he is with his 7-year-old son.

Hey Patric, that’s an obscene gesture, and one to keep away from kids.

This one got me. The Senators main twitter uses the following .gif of Pingu the penguin to describe Ottawa’s 3rd period vs Pittsburgh.

The 3rd featured Ottawa scoring 4 goals, including 2 goals coming in a span of 13 seconds from Kyle Turris and Mark Stone. With a period as hectic as it was, The Sens twitter nails it with this one.

If you don’t get the joke, the Senators scored 4 goals against the penguins, and Pingu (Noot! NOOT!) is in fact a penguin. ha ha.
