The Binghamton Senators third year defenseman Chris Wideman has been selected to represent his team for the upcoming 2015 AHL All-Star Game held in Utica, NY on January 25th-26th.

The 5’10 175 lb St. Louis native has been enjoying his best season so far professionally on the offensive side of things scoring 12 goals while adding 21 assists in 38 games and a +8. Wideman currently is in front of all defensemen in the league with his 33 points and is ranked #4 overall with 132 shots. He has been a catalyst on the power play manning the point on the first unit having scored six and ranked second in the league with 14 overall points amongst defensemen on the man advantage.

Wideman was a recent call-up to Ottawa but didn’t see any action in the two games, however he  returned with a positive attitude in being one of the club’s leaders. He is currently signed through the season as the Senators look to give him an extension at some point, as he’s one of those special players you don’t want to let slip by.

This is Wideman’s first dance to the elite of the AHL’s best. Congratulations Chris across the board as a well deserved pick in representing the Binghamton Senators!
