Senshot writer, Josh has taken a commanding lead in our Prediction pool here. Now at 5 games over .500, he’s easily the clear favourite to take home 1st place in the Senshot Predicts panel.

You know what’s the perfect recipe to stop a three game losing streak? The Buffalo Sabres. This game is also at home, so there’s no excuse for Ottawa to not get 2 points.

I think a strong effort with a win is in the cards, as the last two games have been better, despite the results not coming. Safe to say that if the Sabres win this one, it might be a sign of what’s ahead for the rest of the season.

The Ottawa Senators are really beginning to slip away from the playoff race. As teams begin to find their stride, the Ottawa Senators must do the same.

Calling tonight’s game a must win wouldn’t be crazy at all. That’s why I’m going 4-2 Ottawa Senators against Buffalo.

I wish I was able to make an educated guess, but I’ve missed the last couple of games. So I’m going to take a wild guess here: Sabres win, because this season has been really dumb so far. That is literally my only reason for believing the the Sens will lose.

I’m going to have to take the Sabres on this one. Chris Stewart has been good for Buffalo of late (4 points in 4 games). Buffalo just beat a 4 game losing skid and won’t want to go back to losing any time soon.

I think the Sabres take their 2nd in a row over Ottawa tonight, and inch to 2 points clear of Ottawa for the Atlantic basement. Sabres win.

The Senators need to come off their losing streak. No better team to face than Buffalo.

Here’s hoping the Senators do not make it four straight losses. Sens win.

I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far from the Dave Cameron Sens. Nothing has be revelatory, but the team seems to be playing more to its strengths lately that they did under Paul Maclean.

That being said, there are still some pretty glaring holes and defense is certainly one of them.

It’ll be interesting to see if Philips sits again and if not who comes out of the lineup for him, as Patrick Wiercioch usually seems to be the odd man out in these cases, but he’s been one of the steadier d-men of late and I think there are other players that could benefit more from a benching like Jared Cowen or even (gasp) Cody Ceci.

I hope they learned from the last time they played Buffalo, and lately the effort seems to be there, so if you put those two together I think it can certainly equal a notch in the ‘W’ column for the Sens.

Buffalo’s only 4 points behind us in the standings so its imperative the team treat this as the important game it is, and not just a basement battle in the Atlantic Division.

Sens win 3-2 over the Sabres. After losing a game they deserved to win against the Red Wings, here’s hoping Ottawa comes out with some fire. They have to change course quickly, as falling out of the playoff race is a very real possibility the way things are going now.
