MATCH-UP HISTORY

The Senators have lost their first two games to the Penguins 3-2 and 6-4.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Jean-Sebastien Dea, WBS – With rookie defenseman Derrick Pouliot being called up for Pittsburgh Saturday morning, another rookie takes the spotlight with 20-year-old Dea’s team leading 8 goals and 10 assists in 25 games.

Daniel New, BNG – Had a goal and an assist in last nights loss along with a +2. Watch he’ll get scratched in favor for Mike Sdao in tonight’s contest.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Goaltending for Binghamton is a Mess – Who knows what you will get in Bingo as of late as Andrew Hammond is feeling the pain of being over used by and has lost his confidence leaving Scotty Greenham to pitch in for relief. On a side note, Binghamton has given up the most shots per game averaging 34.70.

2. Penguins Leading the Way – As serving for the frontrunners in the East and  as painful it is for Sens fans to watch, gotta give it to them for maintaining the division lead with all the recent call-ups for Pittsburgh.

3. Power Play on Fire – One bright note is the effectiveness of the power play as it’s ranked second in the league with a 25.5%, just behind Bridgeport with 26%.
