MATCHUP HISTORY

The Senators haven’t faced a team from Connecticut since the 2012-’13 season as they were referred to as the ‘Whale’ back then before returning to the ‘Wolf Pack’ last season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Chris Bourque, HFD – His 8 goals and 11 assists in 21 games is in front leading the club with 21 points as he is the son of HHOF defenseman Ray Bourque.

Matt Puempel, BNG – In his second pro season, Puempel has experienced a slow start but has recently come along in helping turn the tides as he has been putting up points.

TOP 3 STORYLINES FOR THE GAME

1. Senators Face Fatigue or Adrenaline? – After snatching up two wins over the course of two days, this will be a battle in today’s game as the long bus ride will either take its toll or the club is high on adrenaline with winning games lately.

2. A Transition From the Usual Teams – With travel expenses in the back of everyone’s mind in forming a schedule that fits right economically, it’s nice to play a team other than the norm within a 120 mile radius.

3. Goaltending Scenario IV – With Andrew Hammond up on recall backing up Craig Anderson, the B-Sens have handled their own with Scott Greenham and now Chris Driedger winning some games in Hammond’s absence. No one is complaining as Binghamton has been reeling in some victories with the current rotation taken place.
