MATCHUP HISTORY

Binghamton won six of eight last season with another eight on slate for this season starting with tonight’s tilt.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kyle Palmieri, NOR – The 23-year-old forward has been recently re-assigned by the Anaheim Ducks to the Admirals after suffering an ankle injury shortly before their pre-season began. Some of you might remember him playing for the Syracuse Crunch back in 2011-’12 while registering 33 goals and 25 assists in 51 games.

Matt Puempel, BNG – The second year pro is starting to return to form after a slow start. Matt has given his all and has been one of the more consistent players so far for the Senators and look forward to him lifting the team over the weekend.

TOP 3 STORYLINES FOR THE GAME

1.  OMG! A Brendan Bell Sighting – I thought his career was finished but the 31-year-old Ottawa native keeps ticking playing his part on the blue line for the Ducks Organization. He played in 15 games for the B-Sens in 2008-’09 and finished up top for Ottawa in 53 games that season. Wow, seems like yesterday.

2.  Last Season’s Success Fallout – Senators take three out of four at The Scope including the first ever win on Oct 12, 2013 by a score of 4-1. Not an easy task to tackle but perhaps this road trip will help settle things after a week-long practice to what has otherwise been a busy start schedule wise.

3.  Andrew Hammond Starts – Will Hammy be in the nets for both games or will Scott Greenham finally get a crack at it? I guess Luke Richardson will play it by ear but it’s got to be in the back of his mind as a way of shaking off the early struggles this team has faced so far.
