Fall-Out From Recent Randy Lee Interview On TSN1200

facebooktwitterreddit

Ottawa Senators long time assistant GM Randy Lee has been busy as of late filling his role as GM for the Binghamton Senators. Quite impressed with how he’s gone about his business serving as a very well-educated, classy individual representing the organization backed by his 19 years of experience.

What I don’t understand is the backlash this town (Binghamton) continues to receive from the some of the Ottawa media. For the most part, we are thrilled with the success the organization has shown and what the future it brings. Really impressed how the prospects have flowed through the system and having a big effect on the team’s success thanks to Bryan Murray and his staff.

It’s those stubborn journalists that still want to rip the sh#* out of their primary affiliate’s city, and continue to bring negativity to what is now, a positive approach and mutual cohesiveness between the two cities, at least I thought.

"Binghamton has worked out very well for us. We got great support from our fans, great support from the ownership group and the county. We wanted to show commitment to them as they made a lot investments in the facility and that’s important to us.Binghamton has a very strong fan support. We have other player’s from other teams from the top AHL cities and they’re very impressed in what’s going on in Binghamton.-Randy Lee"

The most recent interview was posted up on TSN@1200 with the usual bashing as the City of Binghamton in one of the favorite whipping posts that brings laughter albeit filled with sarcasm, as if they represent the Ottawa township as the holy grail of NHL landmarks. No offense Ottawa, just an observation.

If it continues, this AHL town and its rich hockey heritage will keep chugging along but at some point, it’s just gotta stop. Don’t know why TSN1200 gets their jolly’s so much at the price of our town as they have repeatedly done the same in the past to the point where I stopped listening after this. Grow up already and acknowledge that we are all hockey fans and on the same path of success.

Minor outburst in this one but still the same bs:
