Nominated for the third straight year, he won the award in 2012.  He finished with a +38 rating, second in the NHL to teammate David Krejci. He was third in faceoffs among all qualified forwards with a 58.6%.  He was one of 2 players to win over 1,000 faceoffs.  He had 30 goals and 62 points this season
