SenShot opens up its 2014 preview of the NHL Awards with one of the ones that is often viewed as the one nobody really wants to win.

In a game where aggressiveness, brawn and toughness is seen as a badge of honor, the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner is sometimes seen as being a weak player who doesn’t get involved physically. 

The Lady Byng Memorial Trophy is awarded to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability

The three nominees for this award this year see a first time nominee who had an amazing statistical season, a second time nominee who has a great track record, and a guy who is perennially up for this award 8 times and has won it three of the past 4 years.
