It was the Red Wings’ stars – Henrik Zetterberg (2G, 1A), Pavel Datsyuk (1G, 2A), Niklas Kronwall (1G, 2A) and Daniel Alfredsson (3A) – who led the way for Detroit as they handed the Flyers yet another loss.  Todd Bertuzzi had the other Detroit goal, while Jimmy Howard made 32 saves for the win.

Erik Gustafsson and Tye McGinn scored for the Flyers, who played without Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier, who will be out for some time with leg injuries to further hamper the Flyers chances to rebound any time soon. Ray Emery, missing the insulation provided by the Chicago Blackhawks, allowed 4 goal on 29 shots, for his second loss of the season.  He lost once in 19 games last year with the Stanley Cup Champs.
