When talking about the importance of a player to a particular  team, it isn’t always the best player that is the most important.  It often comes down to the player that offers some aspect of the game that a team would be missing without them in the lineup, and is not easily replaced from within.

The Ottawa Senators have a number of players that fit that description, and missing any one of them would have an impact on the club.
