You Make My Picks – Oct 5th

facebooktwitterreddit

In an effort to make SenShot more interactive, and perhaps hopefully (you willing) to put some coin in my pocket, I am turning to you, the hockey fan, to help me make my Pro-Line selections this season.

Every day I am going to put the schedule up for the following day.  I will ask you to vote for your lock of the night, and then I will go to my local corner store and legally place a bet with the top 3 “best bets” as decided by you, the reader of SenShot.

Sep 21, 2013; Detroit, MI, USA; Boston Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk (55) passes around Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey (27) during the third period at Joe Louis Arena. The Boston Bruins won 2-0. Mandatory Credit: Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

For obvious reasons, I will not be including Ottawa games because that will skew the voting too much, and since I am putting my own money on the line I am using that out.

THE RESULTS SO FAR

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

On just the second day of this experiment, you, the readers, made me a winner.  Based on your votes for the Oct 3rd games, my betting slip read BOS, PIT and STL.  Sure enough, those results cam through and my $2 wager turned into a whole $4.40!!!

As of Oct 3rd:  MONEY WAGERED:  $4   MONEY WON: $4.40  FAN RECORD: 5-1

Oct 3rd bet:

BOS W

PIT W

STL W

I will post the results the day after the bet, and we can see just how smart the readers are as a collective.

Here is the schedule for October 5th.  You have until 3:30 pm on October 5th to cast your vote, and I will bet according to your wishes!

Tthere are 10 games besides Ottawa-Toronto,  so I will be wagering on at least the 3 highest vote-getters plus all team that receive 75% or more of the votes (to a maximum of 6). The prevailing votes made by you will be my picks.

NOTE:  A game that goes to a shootout is considered a “tie game” for these purposes.

Lets continue the streak!
