Mike Lundin‘s stay in Ottawa was short and not necessarily sweet.  Plagued by injury, it was a year Lundin and Senators fans would probably like to forget.

Reports are out that pending UFA  Lundin has signed with KHL Club Barys for next season.  Hopefully it will give the defenseman a chance to find his game after a series of injuries over the past few seasons.

Lundin had one assist in just 11 games, as he was largely ineffective after coming back from his first injury.  Mixed in there was a concussion that kept him out of the lineup.  He was signed as a free agent last July, to mixed reviews.   While he was supposed to be an everyday player, he found himself quickly passed on the depth chart by Eric Gryba, Patrick Wiercioch and Andre Benoit and he was a healthy scratch more often than not even when not affected by injury.

Lundin was not on the Senators radar to return next season anyways.
