Cowen will be paired with Eric Gryba to start the game, forming an imposing duo of 6’5″ Cowen and 6’4″ Gryba.

Cowen played just 3 games in Binghamton before his injury, earning 3 assists. He played all 82 games in a solid rookie season, scoring 5 goals and adding 12 assists last year.

He will be a welcome addition to the blueline heading into the playoffs, and getting a few games in will be a bonus so he can be closer to game shape when the post-season comes.  Just don’t expect him to come in tonight in mid-season form.  It will take a couple of games to get up to speed.
