The bad run of injuries seems to have been extended tonight as Marc Methot has left the Islanders-Senators game just over 2 minutes into the second period with a leg injury.

Methot’s right leg seemed to whiplash against the boards heel first in a collision with Islanders’ forward Brad Boyes while Ottawa was killing a penalty.

Ottawa trailed the game 2-1 at the time.

It is unknown as to the extent of the injury or if Methot will return, but he was helped off the ice not putting much pressure on his leg.
