Ben Bishop To Start For Ottawa Senators vs New York Islanders

Paul MacLean confirmed that he will go back to Ben Bishop for tonight’s game against the Islanders.

Bishop won his last start, the come from behind 4-3 OT victory in Buffalo.  Bishop has faced the Islanders just once in his career, as a member of the St. Louis Blues,  and it didn’t go well.  He gave up 5 goals on 22 shots in a 5-2 loss on March 5, 2011.

Bishop replaces Robin Lehner, who allowed only 1 goal in Sunday’s win over the Jets.  Lehner is 2-1-1 in 4 career games against the Islanders.
