Milan Michalek Still Out, Will Miss Ottawa Senators’ Next Two Games At Least

As if it was possible, the injury news for the Ottawa Senators just got even worse.  Milan Michalek, who has missed the last two games after injuring his knee in the warmup prior to the fateful Pittsburgh game, has been ruled out of Monday afternoon’s game in New Jersey as well as Tuesday’s home game against the New York Islanders.  He will be re-checked early this week.

The Senators have 4 games over the next six days and Michalek’s experience and speed is missed, even if he hasn’t done much offensively since Jason Spezza went down with injury.
No word yet on Peter Regin, although he is eligible to come off IR today (Sunday).
