Sens fans, you can breathe again.  After the twitterverse was abuzz this morning with the absence of Daniel Alfredsson from the Ottawa Senators’ morning skate, the captain will be in the lineup Saturday night in Toronto.

Panic set in when various media members reported that Alfredsson was in the building but not on the ice.  The Senators are already without Jason Spezza, Erik Karlsson, Peter Regin, Milan Michalek and Guillaume Latendresse as well as Jared Cowen, who has not seen the ice all season, nor will he.

The loss of Alfredsson, for any length of time would have been tragic to a team that is already looking like the Binghamton Senators.

Alfredsson has 70 points in 75 career games against the Leafs.
