The NHLPA Submitted their requested proposal to the league yesterday, and despite movement toward the middle, it still wasn’t enough to elicit any optimism whatsoever from either side.

Essentially, both sides cannot understand why there hasn’t been a deal signed yet, based on their last proposals each side feels like they have given enough to satisfy the other side.

This doesn’t bode well for hockey in 2012, and the way things are going, 2013 doesn’t look so good either.

When this all started, I firmly believed that it would be settled by American Thanksgiving.  Well, turkey day down south is tomorrow, and the finish line is not in sight.  So I guess I was wrong.

I haven’t got the foggiest idea when it will end now.  No clue whatsoever.
