Monarchs Crown Binghamton Senators 4-0

The Binghamton Senators dropped their second game in as many days, this time falling 4-0 to the Manchester Monarchs.

Senators Goalie Ben Bishop made his first appearance in a game this season and was victimized by 2 first period goals, one in the second and one more in the third.

Former Ottawa 67’s winger Tyler Toffoli scored the 4th Manchester goal, a power play marker, continuing his solid start to the season (5 pts in 6 games).  Andrei Lokitonov and Brandon Kozun each had a goal and an assist to lead the Monarchs. Martin Jones made 28 saves for the shutout as the Senators were outshot 39-28.

Binghamton had its opportunities, and going 0 for 6 on the power play didn’t help matters, while the Monarchs counted once on just three man advantages.

The Senators are offered until Friday win they play back to back against the Norfolk Admirals, both in Norfolk.
