How About That Senators Win! (And Other Things We SHOULD Be Saying Tonight)

Well, here it is, the day that the Senators should be in Montreal preparing to take on the Canadiens in the 2012-13 regular season opener.

Instead of NHL highlights, we are still seeing Gary Bettman, Bill Daly, Don Fehr, Steve Fehr and the rest of the suits as the top hockey story on SportsCentre, and the way things are going, that isn’t going to change any time soon.

While the NHL loses millions of dollars per day in revenue, the two sides continue to (at least publicly) half-heartedly talk about negotiating.  Then they go public and blame the other side for lack of movement in negotiations.

So, unfortunately it might be a few weeks, or even months before we can say “Did you see Alfie’s third goalie last night? ” or “Did Anderson ever rob Gionta on that breakaway ” or even ” I didn’t think Karlsson would ever be this good defensively ”
