Daniel Alfredsson Makes It Official – He’s Coming Back

The question that has been hanging over the Ottawa Senators since the end of the season has finally been answered.  Captain Daniel Alfredsson will return for at least one more year.  After weeks of speculation that he would return, he finally made it official.

His return solidifies the top 6 forward unit and avoids a big hole that would be filled by a young or unproven player.  He will also continue to be the leader and mentor the young team on the ice.

In an off-season containing many moves that I didn’t like or agree with in many instances, this is the best news of the summer for the Senators.
