Game 5: LAK @ VAN – Say Goodbye To The President’s Trophy Winners

Back in Vancouver for a must win game for the Canucks down 3-1. Corey Schneider would once again get the start in lieu of Roberto Luongo. Late in the first period Daniel Sedin would feed Henrik Sedin who would have the wide open net to give the Canucks a 1-0 lead. It was a play that we always see between the two twins. They would hold this lead after two, up 1-0. However, in the third LA would finally solve Schneider early at 3:21 when Brad Richardson would find the rebound tying the game at 1.

There would be no more goals and OT would be needed. At 4:07 Jarret Stoll would come in from the left side and absolutely wrist a laser of a shot top corner past Schneider sending the Kings to the second round. Definitely an embarassing 5 games series loss for the Vancouver Canucks who were favoured by many be potential Stanley Cup Champions this post season.
