Lets Get Physical – Training Camp Opens Today!

Finally the day has come that fans love,  but players dread – reporting for phyicals and medical testing.  For the fans, it means the unofficial end of summer, and that hockey is just around the corner.

For the players, it often involved being poked, prodded, weighed and tested so that the management can see how seriously you took the summer.  For some, it may even involve some puking in the dreaded VO2 MAX test.

The on-ice sessions begin tomorrow and are open to the public, so if you just can’t wait to see some of your favorites on the ice, at the Bell Sensplex starting at 9:00 am.  59 players were invited to camp, and they will be divided into 3 “teams” for the start of camp – team Boschman, team Marsh and team Kyte, so named after 3 original Senators who are still around the city.
