Video Diary: A Steve Downie Beat Down

facebooktwitterreddit

With his recent fight with another member of the Senators, Steve Downie  has been in six fights when he has taken on Ottawa. One of Sens Army most hated, Downie is always a target when he plays Ottawa. The reason is for his vicious, stupid hit on ex-Sen Dean McAmmond  in pre-season of the 2007 season. Here`s the video of the hit courtesy of Youtube

Downie did get a beating after the hit, but not the one he deserved as the referees jumped in and then threw him out of the game. But every time Ottawa plays Steve Downie, who is now with Tampa Bay, Ottawa likes to give him a beating. So here is the beatings Downie has received from your Ottawa Senators.

Mike Fisher  was the first to get Downie as they fought in the 2008 season.

Next up was Chris Neil as he grabbed Downie in a 2009 pre-season match.

Then, in the 2009 season, Matt Carkner laid a heavy beating on Downie.

Next up in the same season was Jarkko Ruutu.

Then Chris Neil re-newed his fists with Downie’s face.

And lastly, in Ottawa’s last game, Neil again played punch face with Downie.
