Here are a collection of interesting stories following the trade of fan favourite Mike Fisher.

  • Apparently, responding to listener outrage, Ottawa radio station 105.3 KISS Fm have banned Carrie (Yoko) Underwood’s music from their station. Here is the link to the story.

Ottawa radio station 105.3 KISS-FM has banned Carrie Underwood's music to protest Mike Fisher's trade to the Nashville Predators, Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011.

  • Fisher’s new team, the Nashville Predators are running a special ticket promotion for Fisher’s first game.

Fisher wore number 12 in Ottawa and will do so in Nashville. The Predators have a ticket promotion in recognition of the newest Predator. You can buy one upper-level seat for $12 or a pair of lower-level seats for $112 for Saturday night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche. These tickets are on sale now through 5 p.m. tomorrow at the box office or by calling 615-770-PUCK (7825).

Oh to be a hockey fan in the states. I guess the Preds lucked out as Fisher’s number wasn’t number 99.
