Game Day: VAN @ OTT

6th (8-6-1)

Your Ottawa Senators have a tough test tonight as they face Stanley Cup favourites, the Vancouver Canucks. With both teams winning seven of their last 10 games, these two teams match up fairly evenly against each other. Both teams have gotten solid goaltending this season while their big guns are leading the way in scoring.

Bad news for the Sens as their best player this season, goaltender Brian Elliott will miss tonight’s game with a injury. This opens the door for Pascal Leclaire to get some playing time after coming back from his groin injury. Leclaire was playing out of his mind before he went down early in the season, and hopefully he won’t be too rusty having not played in over a month.

For the Sens to win tonight, they will have to not only contain the Sedin twins, but also the rest of Vancouver’s top two lines as they receive production from both lines. Ottawa will need to play a solid team-defensive game and capitalize on any special team chances they get. Check back here at SenShot for a game report after the game. Enjoy the game and GO SENS GO!!!!!
