Looking at a well furbished lineup…

Cloo Cloo announced today the official lineup for the team’s starting game on October 3rd in New York. While there were no surprises, Cory hint the possibility of a trade in the conming days to relieve some room up front. Bryan Murray, the guy upstairs has pretty much been hitting the phones trying to sell some garbage invaluable players to other GM’s. Some names being thrown around are Chris Kelly, Shean Donovan, Brian Lee, and Alexandre Picard. I can almost certainly guarantee Picard is staying on the team. Not only is he actually worth something, but his puck moving skills are second to only Campoli and Karlsson. Picard will be the healthy scratch on Saturday but look for him to play in Toronto if Carkner burns out against the Rangers.

Sens Chirp came out last night that Ilya Zubov has requested a trade out of Ottawa. Not a big surprise, and even though some idiotic Sens fans are already ripping him and comparing him to the likes of Alexei Kaigorodov, Alexei Yashin, and Alexandre Nikulin, they must know Zubov has waited 3 years for a spot, a spot in which Muckler/Murray promised he’d have, and he never got it. Zubov did look out of shape in camp so it is his fault he didn’t make it this year, but I understand his reasons for wanting out. I’d bet my money Murray finds a trade with Phoenix.

Brian Lee looked unhappy today and his agent says Lee was “shocked” upon hearing the news of his demotion. Fair enough, no go cry me a river. Lee will be back soon enough, and even if he doesn’t, he’ll be shipped out for a decent return.

With all this scuttlebutt, you’d think Murray is trying to ship out the muck of the previous regime. He needs to do that, because if you clear out those nasty Russians(except Zubov), our prospect system is better instantly.
