I posed 10 questions to Tim Redinger, Buffalo Sabres blogger on Sabrenoise FanSided blog, and asked him 10 questions about the Sabres off-season and upcoming 2009/2010 season.
SenShot: What are some of the camp battles that are expected in Buffalo? Who are some rookies to watch for?
Sabrenoise: I don’t think there are going to be many battles this year. Look for pretty much the same team to hit the ice as we have seen in the past couple of years – minus the obvious changes. The Sabres have really only added on a one for one basis, lose a guy replace a guy. Nothing [...]

10 Questions with Sabrenoise
Quick Thoughts:
It was very structured and was basically rehearsed and didn’t give anyone much insight than what we had already assumed.
Honestly at this point who cares who leaked the story. The media makes more about this then anyone and it’s getting to a point where I don’t care. Let’s just move on already and really it would have come out at some point by now anyways. It’s like a pair of second graders telling the teacher he started it!
Of course the guy is going to say he’s not worried about his reputation & he loves the fans. I have never [...]
Senators Goaltending Analysis
1. Pascal Leclaire
Pascal Leclaire enters this season as the number one goalie. He was drafted 8th overall in the 2001 entry draft. If he can play 60 games at the level he did in 07/08 then the Senators should be challenging for the division title; I believe that is a reasonable expectation. His biggest questions are his durability and injury concerns; whether he can come back from injury. By all accounts he should be fully recovered the ankle injury that cost him the 08/09 season. But even prior to last season Leclaire has never started more than 54 games in the [...]
So Long Till the 1st!
If some of you didn’t know yet, I leave tonight for Europe where I will stay until September 1st. So consider this a mini-hiatus. However, if you still starve Sens news, go check out the other blogs on left sidebar.
Note. I will be stopping by Dany Heatley’s birthplace of Freiburg in Germany. So if you see in a couple of days on the newscast that some foreigner has gone on a rampage and destroyted Freiburg, it’s not me. For sure. Totally not me. I like Dany Heatley. He’s reliable. And trustworthy.
Have a good August everyone!
Predictions For When I am gone

According to TSN, the Sens have finally re-signed Brian Elliott after months of speculation. It’s two-year deal but the money hasn’t been released. I was told it was going to be 3 years for 1mil/year so a bit of a surprise.
Expect a move in a couple of days to straighten out the cap situation before a Heatley decision is made. I’ll say Chris Kelly is gone.

SenShot was able to sit down with Ottawa Senators prospect Zack Smith at the Binghamton Senators Open House a few weeks ago. Smith was drafted 79th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Zack has made huge strides in his tenure with Binghamton and is expected to crack the big club lineup in a few years. Here’s how it all went down with Smith.
Bobby: Thanks for spending your time with us, Zack
Zack: No problem
Bobby: So, what were your feelings the night before the night of the Draft?
Zack: I felt nervous and excited at the same time. More nervous, though. I was told [...]
TSN and the Ottawa Sun broke out yesterday that the Sens have a deal in place with the Sharks but need a third team to come in. Reports say the third team is the Montreal Canadiens but I’ve heard differently. Everything is all around the place but at least we can comfort in the fact that Dany Heatley may, in the end, be traded. But why a three-way? If you include a third team, everything gets mixed up. Some GM’s (cough Muckler cough) don’t have the audacity to keep track of things. But if that is what it will take [...]
